Description
They sail the seas, found new cities, build magnificent temples and develop new technologies. But settler land and resources are limited, and soon their peaceful coexistence threatens to turn into military conflict. Who can best organize their affairs of state? And who will lead their legions and fleets to victory with strategic foresight? The answer is in your Hands.
Antike II is a fast-paced, multi-variant strategy game with simple rules. Player success depends on thoughtful planning and skillful diplomacy, not on dice or card luck. A large game board printed on both sides and well over 300 wooden game pieces make for a rich set. Antike II can be played on either side of the board. The front side (German) shows approximately the area of the Roman Empire at the time of Emperor Augustus. The reverse side (English) shows the Eastern Mediterranean including the Orient at the time of Alexander the Great.
Antike II is a further development of Antike, which was published in 2005, with new game boards, modified advances and slightly different but still simpler rules. It is an exciting competition for 3 – 6 players aged 12 and up. With two scenarios – Mare Nostrum and Orient – ancient history comes alive again in about 90 – 120 min.
